Lateral Line System
Side canal runs underneath the skin along the sides of fish; branches extend to the head
Pores connect side canal with outside (rows of pores create the side line visible from the outside of the fish)
Changes in water movement around the fish change water movement in side canal
Sensory cells at the bottom of the side canal detect these changes
“Feeling” of surrounding water, environment, predators, prey
