Learning: change of behavior as result of previous experience(s)
Nonassociative learning: habituation = decrease of sensitivity to certain key stimulus ? filtering important/unimportant stimuli(example: habituation in hatched birds towards flying objects)
Associative learning: change in behavior due to linking of stimuli and responses or two independent stimuli
- Classical conditioning: Pavlovís dogs (two stimuli)unconditioned response: salivating upon smelling meat;conditioning: ring a bell whenever meat is offered;conditioned response: salivating when bell rings without meat
- Operant conditioning: association of stimulus and responserate cage experiments; rats press lever to gain food, first accidentally, increasingly deliberately? take a look at child-raising...
