Final Course Grades

Final Course Percentages
Use the below listed grade scale to convert your final course percentage to final letter grades. Final course percentages are calculated from the two mid-term exams (25% each) and the final exam (50%)as:
FCP(%) = [(0.25 x midterm1) + (0.25 x midterm2) + (0.5 x final)]
All final course percentages are rounded up; for example, a final course average of 74.1% becomes a final course percentage of 75% (and accordingly a B- rather than a C+; see grade scale below). A final course percentage of 64.1% was sufficient to pass the course with a letter grade of C; no letter grade of C- is given in this course.

Grade Scale as Final Course Percentages

A : >90 A-: 85-89

B+: 82-84 B : 78-81 B-: 75-77

C+: 71-74 C : 65-70

D+: 62-64 D : 58-61 D-: 55-57

F : <55

Reporting of Final Course Grades to PantherSoft:
Final letter grades will be reported to the PantherSoft system on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Once letter grades have been reported to PantherSoft, they are final and cannot be changed unless an official appeal for change of grade is filed. Therefore, please correspond any discrepancies in your final course percentage as listed here below immediatedly by email (Subject line: BSC1011). As soon as PantherSoft grades are available to you, please make sure that your correct letter grade is, in fact, listed in the PantherSoft system.
